Snow- & Weather report

During the past week we had some fresh snow, little sun and rather mild temperatures. The wind was moderate to light.

Above the tree line the snow is heavily blown. Either windward slopes are blown off or hard. Even leeward slopes have a wind crust. The snow in the trees is still nice and fluffy.

Starting today the sun is shining.

Freeride & Tour

The groups from the past few weeks have once again enjoyed the solitude of the previous season. Only our cats were out and about.

In the snowstorm the groups were in Maximundo, we drove Phaphara and Buksieti. For one day they were in Datekhila and Muchuta as the first groups of this season. In the narrow stream beds of Datekhila, the base is still missing to get to the pick-up in a relaxed manner. But the coniferous forests are deeply covered in snow and offer great lines.

Tips & Infos

Cash & Credit Cards

We do have a credit card terminal in the PIONEERS and the Riders Lodge, but please bring enough cash for any rental equipment, special transfers, souvenirs or tips. We cannot use the card terminal for these expenses because the card terminal is registered to the hotel's account! Ideally, you should also plan to have cash for drinks, then we won't run into any problematic situations if the power goes out and with it the telephone connection (then the terminal won't work).

In all other accommodations - Bakhmaro Base, Wolfsbed Hut and project X - we have no way of charging a bank or credit card!

We are happy to accept Lari, Euros, Swiss Francs or even US dollars. Many thanks.


During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time.
