Snow- & Weather report

At the end of the third week we got a lot of fresh snow again. Unfortunately, the snow fell in the first two days when temperatures were quite warm. The snow was a bit foggy and heavy.

Yesterday there was a very rare winter thunderstorm. Lightning and thunder in the snow is really unusual. With the thunderstorm came another 30 cm of new snow - this time cold and with a bit of gray.

There should be more snow in the middle of the week - perfect for the January groups.

Freeride & Tour

The groups from the past few weeks have once again enjoyed the solitude of the previous season. Only our cats were out and about.

In the snowstorm the groups were in Maximundo, we drove Phaphara and Buksieti. For one day they were in Datekhila and Muchuta as the first groups of this season. In the narrow stream beds of Datekhila, the base is still missing to get to the pick-up in a relaxed manner. But the coniferous forests are deeply covered in snow and offer great lines.

Cash & Credit Cards

Although we have a credit card terminal at PIONEERS, please bring enough cash for any rental equipment, special transfers, souvenirs or tips. We cannot use the card terminal for these expenses because the card terminal is registered to the hotel's account! Ideally, you should also plan cash for the drinks, so that we don't get into any problematic situations if the power goes out or the telephone connection goes out (then the terminal doesn't work).

In all other accommodations - Bakhmaro Base, Alp Hut Adjara or project X we do not have the option to charge a bank or credit card!

We happily accept Lari, Euros, Swiss francs or even US dollars. Thank you very much.

 


During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time.
