A week full of sunshine but also warm temperatures. Cloudless skies during the day and at night. But it was also windless.
The snow on the south side became heavy and sticky at the beginning of the week. On the north side it has remained nice and cold and powdery so far. And we are in Bakhmaro because there are so
many different north-facing slopes. The conditions were perfect for catalog pictures!
It has been shown time and again that it makes sense to use the off-peak times rather than the peak season. That is simply the best time...
There was only one foreign cat in Bakhmaro and we were able to ride fresh lines every day. We re-tracked Sachevakho, the backside of Buksieti and Shridila.
We set up the pickup for the eastern slopes in Phaphara and there we took some great pictures with Dirk from Whitehearts.
The groups in project X used the entire bowl - from the western slopes to the northern slopes and the eastern slopes. Today the groups set off on an exploratory tour with skins
towards Khino.
We have WiFi routers in the houses, but the capacity is limited. If everyone actively logs out after use, it's enough, but if everyone is online with 2-3 devices, it's simply tight.
If you want to make sure that you are permanently online, you can organize a SIM card from Magtikom for Bakhmaro. Other providers have turned off their antenna in Bakhmaro in
winter. In project X we have weak reception from the valley. Beeline is a little better here (I have Magtikom and it works too).
During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time. With the end of the season we also stop the weekly snow report.
