Snow- & Weather report

There was more fresh snow last week. The temperatures were 2-3 degrees warmer than predicted in the weather report. This led to slightly heavier snow, but at the same time to a very stable snow cover. Last week we did a lot of digging in the snow to get a good overview. We have a layer of sleet covered in snow, but it is not reactive. Otherwise we have a good 2 meters of snow in the area.

Since yesterday the temperatures have been significantly lower and the snow quality is excellent - not super deep but nice and fast. Since the sun is low in January, the good snow will stay with us for a long time - the winter wonderland atmosphere with the snow-covered trees and houses will stay with us for a long time. No wonder we welcome the same group every year this week - they know what's good.

Freeride & Tour

It was a week with the best tension. A day to drive in and get to know the terrain. Then snow began to fall and for two days we could only do so under the protection of the trees - but the conditions there were great.

Yesterday was a dream day with magical light, sun and clouds and super cold snow. I've heard more than once about the best day of skiing in your life!

There was only one group traveling throughout the entire area, plus our snow safety group. Yesterday we did less digging and drove more - Chedrekili, Japanese... it was a dream...

Tips & Infos

We have WiFi routers in the houses, but the capacity is limited. If everyone actively logs out after use, it's enough, but if everyone is online with 2-3 devices, it's simply tight.

If you want to make sure that you are permanently online, you can organize a SIM card from Magtikom for Bakhmaro. Other providers have turned off their antenna in Bakhmaro in winter. In project X we have weak reception from the valley. Beeline is a little better here (I have Magtikom and it works too).


During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time. With the end of the season we also stop the weekly snow report.
