Snow- & Weather report

The snowfall at the beginning of the week further improved the snowbase. However, due to the high humidity, the snow wasn't super fluffy. On the other hand, the snow bonded well and resulted in very stable conditions.

 

There is significantly more snow in Bakhmaro than last year. Above the tree line and at the Wolfsbetthütte, however, less (we also had a lot of snow there last year).

 

Due to the low sun in December, the snow stayed wonderful all week.

 

It's currently snowing heavily. However, there is also a strong wind.

Freeride & Tour

A perfect week! Good weather on the first day for an introductory tour. 30 cm of fresh snow on the second day and then we were in Maximundo for another day. Then up to Sarkornia and due to stable conditions we could also ride the steeper lines in the rocks. My personal highlight was the eastern slope of the Wolfsbed, which you can see from the breakfast table of the Wolfsbed Hut. Ascent in the dust and descent in the morning sun... a dream.

At the end of the week only our 4 tracks remain on the different slopes... no one else was here...

Vegetarians & other diets

In Georgia, meals are served in bowls and on plates so that everyone can take what they like. We also cover various special diets (vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose). A vegan diet will definitely be limited.

Georgian cuisine is hearty, but also very good. We have several vegetarian dishes every day, there is cornbread and also lactose-free dishes. However, we explicitly want to offer traditional Georgian cuisine in our houses and here we cook a lot with white flour, cheese and walnuts. Please discuss any allergies with the house management.


During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time. With the end of the season we also stop the weekly snow report.
